About this bicycle -
Purchased new over the phone in 1976 from the Eastern Mountain Sports showroom floor in Boston and shipped to the then brand new Carle Place, Long Island, New York Eastern Mountain Sports store. Sadly, the the bicycle arrived with the original stock drilled chainrings removed and replaced with non-drilled chainrings by the store manager for what I can only imagine to be a selfish reason. I was a little perturbed by this action. At the time I owned a Motobecane Gran Touring and I was excited to see what this exotic bicycle, drilled chainrings or not was all about.
The only component changes I have made was to install Shimano bar end shifters. That was back in 1976. To this day, this bicycle has been well stored and maintained.
